Woodside Energy has paused work on its Scarborough gas platform off Western Australia after Greenpeace protesters climbed aboard.
Early start-up work at the site has stopped, Australia’s biggest gas exporter said, Bloomberg reported.
“Greenpeace’s actions have triggered a significant, potentially costly and entirely avoidable response,” Woodside said.
The firm said it wants the authorities to act firmly and enforce the law in full.
