Tropical Storm Rachel is threatening to drop several inches of rain on the Southwest this weekend into early next week.
The storm, which has weakened slightly as of Friday morning, is expected to make landfall as a tropical storm late Saturday or early Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service, which offers online storm-tracking forecasts and graphics on the National Hurricane Center website.
