SpiceJet’s market share drops to 0.6%, falls below Star Air for the first time
SpiceJet’s domestic passenger market share collapsed to 0.6% in September, the lowest in 2026, as the airline carried only 730,000 passengers compared to 5.92 million in January. For the first time, regional carrier Star Air overtook SpiceJet with a 0.7% share, while IndiGo strengthened its dominance at 65.4% of the market.
