Singapore Airlines breach exposes 46,000 passenger records
Hackers exploited a flaw in Amadeus’s booking system to access 46,000 Singapore Airlines passenger records. The exposed data included names, itineraries, and—for 620 customers—passport and loyalty-program details. No payment information was leaked, but six other airlines, including Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines, reported similar breaches through the same vulnerability. Security experts warn the stolen data could be used for phishing scams or identity theft.
